Hey now there's chemicals in the clouds

spring is almost here and i couldn't be more positive about it. its the time of year when we think of growth, health, abundance and rebirth. all excellent things to think of.

i've been eating a lot of meat lately. and this amazing sprout bean mix i discovered that i guarantee has a ton of protein in it. i'm guess thats on account of it being shark week. aunt flow? (on a side note one of the projects our class is working on is for tampax and let me just say there have been wayyyyyyy too many period jokes in the past few days by certain guys in my class for someone whos actually living the dream) but getting back on track. my body is telling me protein and i can't get enough of it. oh and when i say can't get enough of it i mean like one meat with meal every two days, because thats a lot more then usual.

i have a million and half (yes really a million and a half do not question me this is my blog i can say whatever i want) things to be doing for school right now so i am going to bed now. goodnight.

oh and today i learned what existentialism is.

Wheat Kings and pretty things, lets just wait and see what tomorrow brings

the other day my friends girlfriend didn't want to come out with us for drinks and he said the reason was because she didn't like to be 'on'. since when did that become an option? since when are we allowed to be off?

clearly i know what she is talking about...but i using it as an excuse is pushing the limit for me.

wake up people! eat this

can it be organic and still come from a can?

apparently the entire container is recyclable, and the aerosol is made with ozone layer-friendly CO2. i didn't know there was such a thing as ozone layer friendly CO2. I would have to pass on this because realistically if i want pancakes its probably a lazy sunday morning anyway, and how hard is mixing up some batter anyway?

I wonder if in the future children will think that everything comes from a can and 'real' vegetables are only something to be hidden in the depths of lasagna. it makes me scared to think of all the things that i put into my body that i have no idea how it is made, what is in it, or where it comes from. i think that a lot of the problems in the world could be solved it we just took living back down to a small scale. knowing where your food comes from is only the first step.

people could form meaningful relationships with the other people providing for them and social skills could exist again. maybe i have just been living in toronto for too long but treating everyone as a means to an end instead of a human being is really starting to drag me down. and i think everyone does it at a certain level - your waitress is only there to provide you with food, the guy in the coffee shop fuels your day, even if you do get to know these people to a certain level its still on the bases that you need something from them instead of actually wanting to get to know them.

tonight was my first pottery class and i have made a goal that i am going to try to fill my living space with things that have been handmade. its really a beautiful thing when someone puts love into something they create. and if i don't have enough money to accomplish that goal at this point then i will at least try to give more homemade gifts, so that i can pass along this feeling i have right now.

snap crackle pop

It is crunch time for erin elizabeth over here. I have 10 unfinished projects that need to be reformatted, edited, thumbs up from teachers and teammates, reprinted and mounted into my portfolio. PLUS client, objective, strategy and media used write ups for each project. not to mention that my portfolio needs to stand on its own without me to explain each piece, so mucho explaining needs to be done in text form. kablammmmmmmo

this is from last year, one of the projects that is close to being finished.
-velocity-

Product- velocity: An elevated system of bike lanes to efficiently move people around the city. Designed similar to a highway; the system is for bikers of any pace with three lanes intended for passing. With separate all-weather tubes for each direction, wind resistance is minimized for optimum speeds. Velocity boasts easy to use on and off ramps, elevators, washrooms, showers, security and other amenities.

Objective- The objective of the completed advertising campaign will be to promote the usage and awareness of this bike system in the city of Toronto.
Strategy-The idea behind the concept of velo-city is to create a safe and environmentally friendly way to get around Toronto on a bike. Velocity offers a more economical and efficient ways to get around the city. This would be a great way for Toronto to promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as becoming an innovative city.
